What I Have Learnt From UV

This term we have been learning about UV or ultraviolet, which is energy from the sun. We can use this energy to power our houses. But UV can be dangerous as well. Read my slide to fin out more. I found it easy to find my information by using sites like Kiddle, Science Learning Hub, and many others that the teachers picked out for us to use. I found it hard to understand the science behind the UV spectrum. It took me a wile to get my head around it, but I now know what the UV spectrum is. I enjoyed testing the UV levels outside with my UV beads. UV beads are beads that change colour when exposed to UV rays. Next time I will make sure to stay on task and do my work, instead of talking with my group.

All About Me Logo

We were learning about creating a button all about us, and the things that we love. I found it easy to make it clear on what each section of my logo means, Like my bass guitar. You would nearly instantly know that it represents music. I found it hard to make my polylined face look good, without tracing. I try to make my work 100%, but I'm not all that impressed with my polylined face on this creation. I enjoyed making my button. You guys know I love creating stuff on google slides and drawings. Next time I will finish this at school. I'm posting this in the school holidays because I ran out of time. Whoopsies!

Camp Kaitawa Slideshow / Kayaking Animation!

We were learning about camp reflections, and reflecting about our time at camp. We had such a great time at camp. I found it easy to answer the questions honestly. I didn't really think that camp needed to be changed. Except the Birmur Trail... I found it hard to polyline my characters. You might notice that the Mr.Barclay polyline was just a edited version of my characters. I couldn't figure out how to make the people paddle with the paddle so its just floating there. If you want a laugh, hold down the --> key on your keyboard to see  super saiyan Toby with his paddle. I enjoyed going to Camp Kaitawa! I had such a great time at camp, and my favourite part was getting flipped over by Mr.Barclay. Next time I will make the arms move the paddles. I was trying to do the animation quickly so It wasn't too great, but I still enjoyed making it.

Earthquake Writing

We were learning about commenting on our blog buddies blog post. We were asked to published a recrafted, finished writing for our blog buddies to comment on. I found it easy to polyline my little pictures. I did myself as a superhero for the start of the story, because I had a dream, and I also did the WhatsApp logo, from the story to. I found it hard to find my spelling mistakes and to edit in more rich words, so my writing will pop. I enjoyed re-creating the event of the earthquake. It was a bit scary at the time, but looking at it afterwards, I thought it would be a great story to write about. Next time I will edit in more adjectives so my writing is more interesting to read, and to get the reader hooked in.

My writing is about the March 3rd earthquake of 2021.

Horouta Animation

We were learning about the story of how our ancestors traveled to New Zealand. Our task was to create an animation of our favourite part of the Horouta story. I chose the part when Paoa goes out to look for the special timbers. I added in some other things I thought were funny. Like the video game like fight the axe and the tree had. I used mote to record my voice into the characters. I found it easy to find my favourite part of the story. i was sitting down on the mat thinking about how epic my animation was going to be. I found it challenging to get it done on time. I can take a bit to finish my work. In my opinion, my work has to be the best work that I can do. So I sometimes need a bit more time to get into the zone. I enjoyed polylining and animating. Anything where im allowed to let my creativity run wild is my favourite thing to do. Next time I will add more detail into my polylining. From slide one to slide eight I don't think I was doing my best with my trees.

PB4L Logo!

We were learning about how to use Mote. Mote is a voice recorder on google slides. Just click the purple volume icon on my slide. I found it easy to polyline my PB4L logo. it represents bucket filling. The bucket is overflowing with kindness. I enjoyed using Mote to record my sentences. It is easy and fun to use. I found it challenging to think of my ideas. It took me a little wile to think of my topic. "Should I do Kind To The Environment?" I was asking myself. Then I remembered about bucket filling, and here we are! Next time I will add some more kind shapes to make my logo look more exiting.

(My next time I will was some feedback from Daniel.)

TRYathlon Writing

We were learning about writing a rich recount about the Awapuni School triathlon. I enjoyed competing in the triathlon. I know I may not be too good at running or swimming, but It feels good to know you tried your hardest. I found it hard to remember the order and sequence that the event went in. I found if easy to make my little polynined man using shapes, polyline and curve. Next time I will try to write short and rich, not going on and on.

Solar Car Videos!

We were learning about solar energy and how it works. Solar power is a type of energy generated from the suns UV rays. It can be put through a solar panel, to then generate power for a house or business. I found it easy to understand the way it all works, with the sites provided. The science reading hub is a really great place for learning, and the best thing is they explain it at a level that kids can understand! It's the best site ever and it taught me so much about solar energy. We found it hard to keep it going in the same direction. One of the tires weren't on, so it kept on spinning. but we took all of the tires off so it was a bit better. I enjoyed playing with the solar car. It was even funnier when Rhodes and I started singing! Its so cool that a thing so small can move with the power of the sun.

(Also April Fools!)
